Meet Dr. Jonelle Anamelechi—Mom of two, Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, and owner of Children’s Choice Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in Washington, DC, Maryland and Thrive House. She is passionate about making dentistry fun, approachable, and educational for kids while partnering with families to create healthy, happy smiles.

A graduate of Duke University and the University of North Carolina Schools of Dentistry and Public Health, Dr. Anamelechi further honed her expertise in pediatric dentistry through a specialized residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. Her training includes laser dentistry, maternal and child health, oral restrictions, dental trauma, sleep and airway health—ensuring that every child receives the best possible care.

Beyond private practice, Dr. Anamelechi is a teaching faculty member at Children’s National Medical Center. She is also the past president of the DC American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and co-leads medical and dental collaboration initiatives for the DC Pediatric Oral Health Coalition and the Maryland Dental Action Coalition. Additionally, she is a Catapult Network Speaker.

When she’s not creating magical dental experiences, you’ll find her on mission trips, practicing Bikram yoga, or perfecting her dance skills—just in case Beyoncé ever calls for a backup dancer. Until then, she’s embracing the adventure of parenthood with her husband, Dr. Charles Anamelechi, and their two children. Together, they’re working on an even bigger goal—becoming master Lego builders.
